Delivery Day

Last Saturday we delivered the white oak bed & dresser to Baby Glaenzer.  I know Sally was really relieved to have it in the house.  Now she can load things up and be all ready for her "delivery day".

Friday night we worked way to late putting the crib together to make sure everything would go well on Saturday. It actually did go together very well, just took awhile as some final holes needed to be drilled and tools and miscellaneous  items needed to be gathered.  All in all a good evening of work.
Drawers and dresser ready for loading.
In the past when moving anything from our house or anywhere else we load of the cattle trailer and take off.  This time Jim thought we could get it all in the truck.  The master packer had quite a challenge ahead of him.  But knowing now how things were going to go, sure glad we didn't have the trailer!
He used the layering method for the bed.
Every available blanket, pillow and furniture cushion was in use.
Everything had to be below the top of the truck bed so we could pull the cover over the truck bed.
The dresser was put in the back seat.  Not an easy fit, but luckily Diana was there to help with the heavy lifting.
Final piece, the top of the dresser.
I would like to say the delivery and set up went well, but that would be an out and out lie.  I would also like to say anytime you get to spend with family is good, but Dan and Sally might night agree with that.

I will say that the bed has been delivered and set up.

Now all we have to do is wain for "Baby Glaenzer's" arrival.

I'm Ready!!!!!
